Our mission: Project TurnOver aims to create positive outcomes for the UK’s most vulnerable young people via an immersive programme that leverages sports, specifically rugby, to cultivate resilience, motivation, and hope in students at risk of exclusion, gang involvement, drug abuse, violence, and opting out of school.

We are helping young people change their current trajectory.

Project Turn-Over has become an essential tool in our toolbox needed to repair the issues being caused locally by Serious Youth Crime and Gang warfare. The programmes provide ground-breaking intervention and support for some of the most disaffected and vulnerable children and young people in the Borough; engaging the disengaged and re-energising those worn-down far too early by life’s problems. The children we have placed on the programmes universally benefit with measurable differences being seen in their ability to engage, reason and work with others. The children and young people become more ambitious for themselves and appear calmer and more focused. Project Turn-Over is vital in the local area now and it is an established organisation with a track record. Their vision and mission are crystal clear and therefore so are their outcomes. We are so proud to be working in partnership with the Project Turn-Over team for the benefit of our vulnerable children and young people

Although this does not always apply to all our young people, the exclusion to prison line can become a reality all too quickly, and Project Turn-Over is committed to diverting this pipeline and ensuring a more meaningful direction for our young people.

School feedback – Cohort 4 graduating July 2021

“SI has really grown up over the last 12 weeks on your programme and has found himself out of trouble more than he has been in it. The newfound maturity comes hand in hand with a sense of positivity towards learning and building positive relationships with staff which is something that did not always come easy. The positive reports from your project have always been fantastic and we are thrilled at how well he has done. Great work SI!! “

“AB has found an avenue to channel some of his aggression through your project and it is so pleasing to speak to him about his boxing club and all the sport that he has participated in. AB has spoken openly with us about his challenges and how the project has helped him which is simply fantastic to hear. Before the project it was unclear if Alex was going to make it to the end of Year 11 at our Academy but we all hope the past 12 weeks has enabled him to see the importance of this and just how much we all want him to succeed. Well done AB!!”

“TT has always been somebody that has a very short temper and found himself removed from lessons often on a daily basis. Since he has been on your programme he has been removed from very few lessons, he has applied himself to improving and we have been very impressed. One of the most pleasing things is that he is discussing how he feels and he is now regulating his temper a lot better avoiding such serious conflicts with staff. We really hope that he is successful in Year 11 and with the work of the past 12 weeks on the programme, we have every confidence that he will be. Keep it up TT!!”

Parent feedback – Introduction to Construction, July 2021

“Would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Mr. Garvin Snell and Darren Beecroft & all the others involved! My boy loves this course and he does not want it to come to an end! My kitchen handle is a bit wobbly and my boy has offered to fix it because he’s been learning how on course.

He said he felt really comfortable and had a chat and told you he had a blade put up to him, his confidence had gone and to see him so happy today, So lovely to see!”
